Syd, 11, girl

Scene 1:

I dreadfully walked through the Minnesota State Fair grounds following my parents from as far behind them as I could. I was hoping that they would let me go by myself this year but unfortuntly they're dumb and "I am not old enough". Also, I don't have any money to get a jumbo sundae with extra whip cream on top. As we walked through the crowds, I could hear the distant sound of music coming from the Grand Stand. We walked closer, the music became more clear. It was my favorite favorite band, Simon and Garfunkle. The crowds around me were tall and blocking my view. Suddenly I looked down at my black converse and saw the metal stands of the inside the Grand Stand. I leaned in close to my parents, "Thank you Mommy and Daddy, Thank you thank you!".

Scene 2:

My mom made me hold her hand as we walked down the long white hallway of the hospital to a waiting room. I hate waiting. The car ride was long and I had to wait forever and now we have to wait some more. I put my head phones in and tried to ignore the people around me. After a few songs past, my mom tugged on my shirt to get my attention. I looked at her with a evil face because she knew this is my favorite band shirt and I didn't like when people pulled on it. It was time to go see my grandma who was on her death bed. I was kind of sad I guess. I didn't know her very well but she promised me that when I turn 18 she was going to take me to my dream state, California. I guess that isn't happening anymore.
